Give Back

We Believe In Working Hard and Giving Back

Over the past five years, we’ve prioritized giving back to our local communities by volunteering more than 10,000 hours of our time. Through ITG’s Give Back program, senior leaders across the firm lead teams of ITGers in volunteer events such as cleaning up harbors in Los Angeles, running for charity in Hong Kong and donating blood in Melbourne.

Across all of our offices we’re committed to improving our surrounding communities by supporting causes we truly believe in. Together we have:

Painted homeless shelters, served meals, led fundraising events, run in charity races, tutored adults, befriended the elderly, mentored young people, held an in-office bone marrow registry, given blood, cleaned up parks and rivers, planted trees, written to military personnel overseas, packaged meals at food banks, packed clothing and furniture for local charities and overseas shipments, and much more.

While charity is its own reward, our passion for giving back has earned us honorable mention in PR Daily’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for Best Employee Volunteer Program.

Put A Lid On It

In a recent poll of 80+ buy-side professionals, 37% attributed more than half of their trading cost to information leakage. It’s something that traders feel, but accurately measuring it is much more difficult. Many brokers use post-trade reversion to rank dark pool performance, but looking only at adverse selection while ignoring information leakage doesn’t give the full picture. ITG’s study of controlled measurement of information leakage in dark pools shows that dark pools with the worst information leakage have unremarkable adverse selection scores.
