Dora
Assistant Vice President, Liquidity Research, Toronto
Dora describes ITG as ‘unique’—and that’s how many would describe her. With a BASc. in Computer Engineering and MASc. in Electrical Engineering, Dora’s background is not typical of a research analyst. She is equally comfortable discussing her research on market microstructure dynamics or electromagnetic simulation as recapping her last regional auto race. Her eye for precision and strategy unite her pursuits both on and off the track.
After several years in engineering design with other firms, Dora is now in her fifth year with ITG Canada and describes the Research Group as her extended family. The team produces index research as well as transaction cost analysis, analyzing trading data to help clients improve performance and increase efficiency. Dora’s research focuses on how traders trade and has real impact. Clients and industry experts look to her findings when significant events impact the Canadian equity trading space. Her dream challenge? Use data-driven innovation to bring new products online that improve trading performance.
Christina
Director, Healthcare Sales, New York
Christina is a real go-getter by anyone’s definition. She runs marathons, competes in triathlons, and trains year-round. This same energy and persistence has helped her quickly rise through the ranks at ITG. She joined ITG Market Research as a sales person, and soon her dedication and leadership led to her current role, overseeing all of Healthcare Sales.
She attributes her professional progress to two factors: her enjoyment of her work, and the support of upper management, who listen to her recommendations and consistently give her the tools to succeed. Christina and her team now work with some of the industry’s top medical and pharmaceutical companies.
Christina enjoys interacting with other healthcare industry professionals and ITG’s Healthcare Research team in the US and Europe to help medical firms better understand their markets and their competitive landscape. She’s grateful for the opportunities that she’s been afforded at ITG and the mentorship that she has received from her colleagues.
Chris
Assistant Vice President, ITG Investment Research, New York
Chris is a logistical mastermind with a deep respect for the power of data and analysis. With a BS and Master’s in Applied Operations Research, he applies his knowledge of mathematics, probability and supply chain modeling to his position on the ITG Investment Research team.
Chris works with about 25 other researchers with a wide range of quantitative backgrounds, from applied mathematics to finance. He appreciates the company’s commitment to data-driven research and the collaborative, collegial, open-minded atmosphere at ITG.
Although Chris’s background may not intuitively point to a career in investment research, his unique skill-set meshes well with ITG’s rigorous research standards. Quick on his feet and always looking to innovate, Chris to hones his analytical and logistical prowess on the job. In the future, he plans to continue building better models and delving into increasingly deeper data sources.
