Yvonne
Director, Product Management, Dublin
With a solid financial background as a Chartered Management Accountant with Bank of Ireland, Yvonne joined ITG as one of the company’s first Dublin office employees. Over the next 14 years, she has brought her financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills to the job, making her a respected and valued international team leader.
Her most notable project to date involved revamping the clearing and settlement system used in ITG’s European offices, resulting in huge cost savings. Yvonne credits her successes to the collaborative atmosphere in her office. She loves a challenge and believes that good management is all about being a team player—whether she’s working out the logistics of getting four small children off to school in the morning or motivating multiple ITG teams to bring a project to completion.
Wojciech
Director, Development, New York
Wojciech oversees global algorithm development at ITG. Without the leisure of a typical 6-8 month development cycle, he is tasked with managing five teams in the US and several more globally, as they routinely turn around new trading algorithms in just two weeks. The focus required to coordinate this workflow comes, in part, from more than a decade of experience at a major Aeronautics firm.
At home, Wojciech is working on a very important project with his son: developing a new video game app. While both father and son are avid video game players, the development side is a new challenge—one that gives Wojciech the opportunity to share his passion for software development with his son. It comes as no surprise that the opportunity to mentor his colleagues and team members at ITG is the most rewarding aspect of Wojciech’s role in the office. Supported by ITG’s culture of collaboration and transparency, he plans to continue development of next-generation algorithms while delivering a true global product line. And if all goes well, perhaps a few more video games.
Matthew
Vice President, Product Management, Toronto
In the ten years since Matthew joined ITG as a developer, he has made standout contributions to the development of ITG’s algorithmic suite. Taking advantage of ITG’s educational perks, he added business development and CFA skills to his software development skills and earned a promotion to product management, where he excels in coordinating the product development teams that bring new algorithms to market.
Matthew’s typical project flow involves translating the needs of clients as related by the sales team to the development group, who can quickly build out tailored trading solutions. This kind of customized product development requires a high level of transparency and cooperation between departments. The culture of collaboration that thrives at ITG—the quality that first attracted Matthew to the company—has helped him set a standard of excellence for his team. Looking to the future, Matthew hopes to develop new algorithms across multiple asset classes with the talented group he manages.
